Katyayani Temos (Temephos 50% EC)

Description: Katyayani Temos is an organophosphate insecticide with a 50% concentration of Temephos in an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation. It is primarily used to control mosquito larvae and other major arthropod vectors of human diseases. It is particularly effective in open water and other mosquito breeding areas, including those with low organic content.

Target Pests:

• Mosquito Larvae
• Cyclops spp. (Vector of Guinea Worm Disease)
• Nuisance Insects

Treatment Area:

• Open Water: Swamps, marches, lakes, ponds, drainage ditches, and other mosquito breeding areas.
• Low Organic Content Water: Effective in water with low organic content; not recommended for heavily polluted water with high organic content or dense vegetative cover.

Dosage:

• General Use: 1.5 - 2 ml per liter of water. Repeat as necessary.
• Application: Pour the required amount of Temephos into the water while stirring constantly to ensure good coverage. For aerial or ground application, use sufficient water to achieve thorough coverage. Detailed instructions for use are provided with the product leaflet.

• Contact Poison: Temephos acts as a contact poison. Once applied, it disperses throughout the water body and remains effective for up to one week.
